The Problem
Many young athletes love basketball but are not part of expensive travel or club programs.
Outside of AAU teams, players are often left with pickup games, open gyms, or inconsistent opportunities to play.
That means fewer chances to compete, improve, and experience real basketball competition.
EDGE Youth Basketball League fills that gap.

We provide a structured, competitive, and affordable league where players can develop their skills, compete against balanced teams, and enjoy a true game-day atmosphere.

Meet the Founder

EDGE Youth Basketball League was founded by Ryan Novotny, a US Army veteran, coach, and basketball enthusiast. After years of working with kids in various programs, Ryan noticed that while basketball skills and plays were being taught, the love for the game was missing. Basketball is meant to be fun, and players should know it’s okay to enjoy it. EDGE was created to give players a place to compete, grow, and have fun playing the game in a structured and affordable league.
Testimonials
Alexis K
'I highly recommend Ryan for coaching basketball for kiddos of all ages. His love for the game and wanting the best for children in life but also in sports and on the court is unmatchable and admirable. After years of watching his dedication on the court and helping the kiddos build confidence and progression and achieve goals, I would recommend him to anyone!'

'Coach Ryan truly expanded my son’s love for basketball beyond belief! Due to my 10 year old being homeschooled and his prior school district not having opportunities for kids his age, he was not taught skills essential for the game and therefore, had not developed a deep love for the game, One session with Ryan and he is hooked and is consistently playing with every skill Ryan taught him now! It has been amazing to watch my son go from recreational play to wanting to know everything about the rules, skills, and also constantly wanting to use them now! I would highly recommend Ryan to ANY child who needs an outlet, socialization, or even just a mentor.'
